Voter Registration for College Students
and a group for young democrats in Somerset County

Voting by Mail is an easy and efficient way to cast your vote if you are unable to vote at your polling location. Please refer to the table below to determine which application you should to complete.

Print, fill it out, and send it in by October 15th, 2024 to be able to vote in this year's General Election

You can print and complete the form and mail or deliver to the Commissioner of Registration in your county or you can also file it with your municipal clerk. These cards are also available at your local Commissioner of Registration Office.

You do not need to affiliate with a political party to vote in the General Election.

Flexible Paid Door-Knocking in Pennsylvania

Our Distributed Organizing program empowers Democrats to help get out the vote by knocking doors where they live, including the 90% of communities that aren’t close to big cities. There are no fixed schedules or minimum commitment. After a virtual briefing, you can knock doors in any window of time on any day.

Voter FAQ

Who can register to vote?

You can register to vote if:

  • You are a United States citizen

  • Are at least 17 years old (and understand that you may not vote until reaching the age of 18)

  • Are a resident of the State and county 30 days before the election

  • Are NOT currently serving a sentence, probation or parole because of a felony conviction

Where can I find election results?

The Somerset County Clerk utilizes Scytl to  report election results. By selecting one of the links on the page you will be able to view results with easy to read bar graphs, charts, and maps. 

How can I vote in the NJ Primary Election?

The State of NJ has a “closed” Primary.
To vote in the Primary, you must declare party affiliation.

Only Democrats and Republicans are permitted to vote in the Primary!*

What address do I register to vote with if I am attending college?

If you are in college, you have the option to register from your college address or your parent's address.

What is the deadline to register to vote for the upcoming General Election?

The registration deadline to vote is 21 days prior to Election Day. This year that means October 13th

Will I receive my sample ballot?

You will receive a sample ballot about 1 week before the election that will indicate where your polling place is or you can use our polling place locator.
