2022 Platform

This year, we’re out to earn your vote for Bernardsville Borough Council. Our decades of public service in this town prove that we care deeply for this community and will work hard every day.


Armed with deep experience in all the issues that matter to you, we’ll be ready to work on day one: downtown revitalization, fiscal discipline, sustainability, open space, recreation, infrastructure, and more.

Downtown Revitalization

  • We will work to restore public confidence and participation in downtown revitalization efforts.

  • Small business is the backbone of our municipal economy. We will support efforts to encourage local businesses to expand and new businesses to relocate to Bernardsville.

  • We will work to create an environment that encourages residents and visitors to gather in the downtown.   

  • We strongly support the efforts of grassroots organizations such as Downtown Bernardsville, to generate activities that spur public participation  and spotlight local businesses as they make our community a destination for local and out of town visitors.

Trails and the Environment

  • We will work to implement the Recreation Master Plan as stipulated in the new plan documents, focusing
    first on the top listed priority: TRAILS- for walkers, hikers, and cyclists.

  • We support the creation of a recreation hub for our entire community, centered on the historic Polo Grounds. Polo Grounds should offer activities for all ages.

  • We support the timely acquisition and preservation of open space to protect surface and ground water,
    ensure clean air, and contribute to the mental and physical health of our community.
